Rilakkuma, the Tourism Ambassador of the Chiyoda Ward Tourism Association, is a character from San-X Co., Ltd. The Chiyoda Ward Tourism Association appointed Rilakkuma as a Tourism Ambassador in August 2021. San-X Co., Ltd. wanted to contribute to the community in Chiyoda Ward, where its headquarters is located, while the Chiyoda Ward Tourism Association had long sought to increase the number of young and family tourists. The two parties shared the same ideals, and thus Rilakkuma was appointed as the Tourism Ambassador. Since becoming the Tourism Ambassador, Rilakkuma has been leading the way in sharing the attractive tourist spots and seasonal information of Chiyoda Ward with a wide range of generations. Green-rich areas around the Imperial Palace, specialty shop streets in Kanda and Ochanomizu, pop culture hub Akihabara, and Tokyo Station and Marunouchi, the gateway to Tokyo.
